Why You Need CoachingEveryone on air can benefit from it.
REPORTING SKILLS Obviously those who are just beginning need it the most. They need help with broadcast writing, voice and delivery, writing to pictures, organizing a story, on-camera presence and so forth. But even in a second, third or fourth job, reporters and anchors can get a shot in the arm from a good, honest critique. Sometimes they've picked up bad habits, sometimes they have gotten too complacent or haven't kept up with the times. TECHNOLOGICAL SKILLS As the news business changes, more reporters, even in large markets, will be asked to shoot and edit. Not only that, the technology is already available for reporters to set up and operate the equipment for their own live shots. The more you know about the technological side of getting a story on the air, the more valuable you will be. We can teach you. Why We're the Best at ItOther agents and managers may be able to tell you that something is wrong with your work. But since most of them are lawyers, they really don't know what you need to do to fix the problem. We have the experience and the know-how to give you tips that will instantly improve your work. You will be amazed at the value of knowledgeable feedback. How We Do ItFor our out-of-town clients, Julie Eckhert conducts phone sessions. She will ask you to read your anchor copy or your package script and then she'll critique it or demonstrate how it could be improved. She also conducts training sessions in our fully equipped television studio. Here you can practice voicing, doing standups, reading from a teleprompter, ad libbing, etc. Your work is taped and critiqued. Some clients send scripts for critiquing; everyone sends tapes. We give you feedback in any way that works for you. We are serious about helping you improve your work so that you can land the job of your dreams.
